Regina called me and asked her can I come to her party at Planet Hollywood of course I said yes parties that she throws are called parties of the century and if you are invited to a party you will be invited to more. I put on my fancy dress and took a cab. The house was gigantic and you can here the music two blocks away. I walked in and saw Rachel and her new B.F.F.N.M.W. There were a lot of boys and beer and I had to squeeze between boys and girls thrusting on each other and I finally found Regina in the kitchen. I asked Regina does she have punch then she put a twisted up face and said " are you serious you don't drink beer your 13 aren't you." I told her yeah of course I drink beer ( that was a total lie). " so shut up and get a beer" . I went to the cooler and took a can of Bud Light and opened it. I drank it like I spent 2 days in the Sahara Desert. Two hours later i felt woozy and funny. This boy came in front of me and asked me if i was alright i answered no . He gave me a icepack and took me to Regina's parents room. I fell on the bed i wanted to sleep this off, But this boy who seemed so nice wouldn't leave me alone he kept touching me and kissing me like he liked me. I pushed him off and tried to run but he got up and slammed me on the bed. He took four bandannas and tied my arms and legs to the bed my eyes were blurry so I couldn't see anything . He kissed my neck and whispered " don't worry every thing is fine ".He pulled my clothes off and did all these types of horrid things to me . The next morning I woke up with a silk gown on I thought my mom bought it so I went down to thank her , But this house was not my house it was Regina's she was down stairs eating her mom asked am I OK , I told her something really horrible happened to me but I can't remember.

This novel is called "They Chose Me" it is about a new girl named Nyazia coming from Georgia and moved to Manhattan. In school Maleeka asked Char did she bring her any clothes. Char kicked the bag to Maleeka and the clothes that Char bought Maleeka were a tight jean jumper. But one day when Maleeka went home , her mom was at the window with a big smile on her face , she told Maleeka that she got a bonus on her check and finally got some extra money to throw around , so Maleeka got some shirts , some pants , and enough lip gloss to shine rims on a car. When she went to school and she was walking down the hallway strutting her stuff and everyone was looking at her. I think the relationship between Char and Maleeka are unusual because their friendship is on and off. It is like one day Char is giving Maleeka really expensive clothes and the next day Char is dissing Maleeka really bad and then it repeats everyday over and over again

Esperanza is a girl who has moved every year and she never skipped a year she would move to north Carolina in 2004,in 2005 she would move to Bronx and so on. when she moved to a really not so beautiful house on mango street everything go's wrong. The house has one washroom ( bathroom)one bedroom their living room is smaller than the bathroom. She is embarrassed for people to see her house for example she goes to a Catholic school and sister Samantha came to go speak to her mom and when she saw her house the sister open her mouth so wide a fly can go in it she looked surprised also shocked the sister walked away real quickly like she never saw nothing.

If I were Esperanza at this moment i would walk to her and ask her what is the matter i thought you had to talk to my mom and tell her that some people can't afford luxury condos and big houses with pools and backyards with little play parks in it. I would also tell that this is all my mom could afford and i like it just the way it is and no one cares how shocked or surprised she is and no one cares about her rude opinion.

Forgeting The Past Changing The Future

The African burial ground is a place were african people were burried.It tells you that their are slaves and it is sad how most slaves usually die in their fortys.People that are this nationality are finally getting the respect they deserve.

The africans were first bought to New York by the Dutch in the 17th and 18th centuries.tThey were from many diffrent regions,cultures,and religions. More than 12 million men, women and children made the agonizing voyagae across the Alantic Ocean. In the African burial ground a lady was found with an infant in the crook of her arm. A lady was found with a musket ball in the side of her ribs. A man was also found a sign on his coffin called sankofa which means hope.That is the sign that is used more often in the burial ground.

I think that this place will help other people who are African need to realize that some of thier people are being noticed and finally appreciated. Even people who arent that nationality will realize how bad they were treated and how they get more respect in the 21 century.
